Even in today’s economy, the demand for web designers is expected to rise 13 percent through 2018, while many other industries are expected to decline such as computer operators and bindery workers. Although technology and automation has made many of the duties for today’s declining jobs obsolete, advancements in technology have had the opposite effect on the web design industry. “Design” and in many cases, “coding,” simply cannot be fully automated, so businesses, companies, government agencies, and other organizations need web designers to help them create, manage, and maintain a web presence.
